Happy Halloween! We hope all our furriends have a fun and safe Halloween whether you stay at home or goes trick or treating.
Just in case you forgot or didn’t get to see, my costume this year is a caterpillar!
Everyone has through tomorrow November 1st to enter my costume contest. So far we have 31 great entries that will be judged. Purrrrrrrrs
Its always fun to put my sisfur LociLu back in line! It would seem that sometimes she forgets who the Chief Kit is around here.
While momma has been busy sending out last minute costumes I have been doing my best to help where I can and doing a pawsome job tussling with Loci.
And OMC! Halloween is actually tomorrow, that came furry fast. So momma and I will be busy sprucing up our holiday category and can’t wait to see what everyone will be wanting for Christmas this year. It will be here before we know it!
Have you tried on your costume yet? Have you seen all our entries for my 4th Annual Halloween Costume Contest yet? You have until November 1st to get your entry in to us, high stakes this time! Click the banner below to check everything out.
You have until NOVEMBER 1st to get your entries in for my Halloween Pet Costume Contest! So if you don’t dress up or do your photo shoot until Halloween not to worry, you have plenty of time to get it in to us.
This year is for sure going to be a tough call for judges, but what is nice is that they get to rate every entry and then an average is taken. Me and momma are quite thankful for our volunteer judges, otherwise everyone would be a winner for us!
We loves Halloween time around here, but I am not sure if momma or daddy will carve pumpkins this year. Maybe I can meow momma into it.
Here is a fun pumpkin that momma carved a few years back.
Have fun with those costumes my furriends! Can’t wait to get your entries. Purrrrrrrrrrrrs
Happy Caturday! We hope you are having fun today, its getting closer to Halloween and the holidays. Did you know that momma was interviewed once by People Pets about dressing up your kitty for Halloween?
Well over the years momma has discovered ways to make it easier on us cats who have humans that want us to wear things, so I wanted to share our general tips for dressing up your pet for the holidays. Or is howlidays or meowlidays! MOL
Heck this might even help some more of my kitty furriends enter our Halloween costume contest this year, actually we have had quite a number of kitties enter in the past.
Tip #1 – Get your pet use to wearing clothes, the earlier the better, so if you have a kitten or a puppy start now. And even if your cat or dog isn’t little anymore frequent short sessions with clothes can get them use to putting stuff on. Cats might prefer to be held when wearing something at first.
Tip #2 – Approach them when they are relaxing or napping. The more comfortable your cat or dog is, the better. Cats can be more easily dressed when they are laying down.
Tip #3 – Ask for help from another family member or friend. Dressing cats can be much easier with two people and makes the process faster.
Tip #4 – Watch out for their ears! Many costumes come with hoods or hats that may press down on the ears and cats especially do not like this. Look for costumes that will have hoods or hats that work around the ears.
Tip #5 – Most cats won’t like to be dressed for long periods of time. Short photo shoots are better and keeping the treats handy always helps.
Tip #6 – Be sure to select the right size for your cat or dog. Check the measurements for each size available for the style you wish to purchase. If any sizing is equal to or on the border it is always best to go a size up for dogs. For cats, a size up may be too big so be sure to see how big the next size up really is.

Hai Furriends! We have been getting interesting query searches and questions about cat costumes. While all our costumes in the shop have the word “Dog” in the title, all costumes and clothes will fit cats exactly the same. Its just a matter of measuring and getting the right size.
Unfortunately we have been unable to find specific vendors that make cat only costumes like they did a few years ago. In fact, my costumes for the last 3 years have been dog costumes. They are really just pet costumes my furriends! MOL
Here is me in our Cowgirl Dog Costume from the shop for 2010:
Here is me in my Ladybug Dog Costume from my shop for last year:
Here is me in my Caterpillar Dog Costume for this year:
So them are my past costumes, they is pet costumes as far as we are concerned but momma uses the word “dog” for our web searchers that will be using that word.
Momma says she will be helping me to do reviews on the costumes I have worn so that others will see its a kitty wearing it.
