Very Sad News

We were informed late Saturday night that momma’s grandmother had passed away. Her injuries were just too great for her current physical condition and she is now in a better place with her husband. Momma was very close to her grandmother, pretty much one of her babies who had a special place in her heart. Momma’s mom is very sad about losing her mother so momma is trying to remain strong for her.

Thank you for all your healing purrrrrrrrs and good thoughts, we know it helped our grandmother through her ordeal. We wanted to share a little about her with everyone and tell you about her kitty Snowball.

This is Snowball, she has a calico/tabby striped head and tail only.

Momma’s grandmother has always had pets for as long as momma can remember, mostly dogs with one outside cat that they saved from the 1984 snow blizzards. But somehow around 2001 she adopted 2 kittens which she fell in love with. Momma can’t quite remember but she was very sad as both kitties disappeared after some time. So momma had a neighbor across the street with one kitten left that he was giving away. Momma took the kitten and gave her to her grandmother as a surprise, with the agreement she becomes an inside kitty only. She has been a constant companion of her grandmother ever since and had a regular habit of taking her to bed when it was bed time. Momma and her grandmother always use to chat about how their kitties were doing and she knows that she loved Snowball very much. Snowball is surely going to be so sad without her now. Please send her your purrrrrrrrrs.

Momma’s grandmother was born Oct. 18th 1927 and would have been 84 next month. She was born and raised in Oklahoma until she moved out to California in 1953. She taught momma how to grow vegetables, sew, peal string beans, and to cook (although momma says she could never compare as her grandmother was the best cook ever). She taught her how important breakfast was and let her drive her car to get her drivers license. Momma’s mom was too nervous for that MOL.

Momma grew up calling her grandmother nearly every week to see how she was and visited often even after she moved almost 2 hours away. She spent every thanksgiving and every Christmas with her. Momma learned a lot about her family history from her. She had a huge heart with lots of love for her children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchild for which she currently has one.

She will be greatly greatly missed. This is a photo of her and momma, it is one of momma’s most favorite photos and is so happy that she has it to share with everyone.

Bags are mine! – Blog Hop

Hai Furriends! If you read my post from yesterday then you know momma’s grandma fell and had to has a major surgery. We think about her everyday and sending her many purrrrrrrrrs. Thanks you to everyone who has sent purrrrrrrrrs and your well wishes already.

Doing more clean up work for the shop momma says, so we are removing products we no longer carry and looking for more pawsome replacements. We have all new ways to quickly email everyone about our new products and even single product features for products you may have not seen yet.

Have you decided what you want to be for Halloween yet? Let me know what you are thinking about so I can let momma know what to look for!

Momma and I are still deciding on what I will be but we are going to work on getting our costume contest ready too, going to be lots of fun, can’t wait to see all my furriends dressed up.

In the meantime I will be sending time under my bags for sure this morning but looking forward to lots of play time and napping! Purrrrrrrrrrrrs

Upside Down Friday

Hai Furriends! Well what a week we has had so far. Besides getting my new look for the blog launched and getting customers to sign up for the rewards program, momma got a call about her grandma. Momma’s grandmother went up north with her uncles on a camping trip and she fell. We were very worried because by the time she got the call they discovered she had bleeding on the left side of her head. She was rushed to surgery and it went very well. It was a lot of waiting to see just how well it went but momma finally got word that she woke up and recognized her sons. We are all very encouraged by her progress but she could use a lot of healing purrrrrrrrrrrs and woofs.

Momma is furry close to her grandmother as she grew up in the same city with her and her grandma even let her drive her car when she was learning to drive. She is very much loved and we are hoping for her full recovery. It hasn’t been easy but we have our paws crossed over here.

So momma has been doing what she can to run the shop and keep apprised of how her grandma is doing. We will be working on getting more Halloween costumes and toys loaded up as we have been selling more recently and its almost October. Plus, don’t forget we has our annual costume contest that we have to get ready as well.

New Look for the Blog

Hai Furriends! What do you think of the new look? Momma felt it was time that we get the blog setup properly so we can have menus and etc. We feel it is a lot cleaner now and should be easy to update if we need to.

It seems like momma was non-stop except to eats yesterday, she on fire she says…but I don’t thinks she means fur real. I guess there is a lot to do and a lot when you is re-doing a blog look too.

Well I suspect I will be on my poker chip some more today so I leaves you with a picture of my plume tail. MOL Purrrrrrrrrrrrs

Momma gives me plenty of attention when I am here, I like to wait for lunch!

Ahoy Mateys, Avast its Meow like a pirate day!

Hi buckos! Its meow like a pirate day! So I be talkin’ like a pirate and momma helped me get out me pirate picture t’ show you. It was a pretty good weekend except on Sunday momma and daddy got stuck outside o’ t’ house because some crank caller said thar was a car bomb in one o’ t’ parkin’ lots at t’ county fair. We be glad it turned out t’ be a crank call but that was not very nice o’ them at all. They shut down t’ street outside our house for 3 or 4 hours.

We be already gettin’ sign ups for t’ rewards program so that be furry excitin’! Momma be workin’ on puttin’ helpful thin’s in place so we can let everyone know about new products more regularly. So it be another busy week for us, probably more for momma. Arrr!

Check out me pirate look ye scurvy dogs, I can’t remember when this was done for me but it was a while aft. Meanwhile I hope you be all havin’ a fun day meowin’ like a pirate or woofin’ like a pirate!

Rewards? – Pet Blog Hop

Happy Caturday Furriends! What a week we has had, sure are happy its the weekend now. And we are really excited about our rewards program which is now able to accept members.

This is how it will work, you will need to go to our signup form and enter your information which includes your phone number as that is how we will track your points. For every purchase you make $1 green paper equals 1 point. Once you reach 200 points you get a big reward from us. Then you starts from zero again after you redeem your reward. You can earn points by referring friends to signup, 25 points for every person that signs up. But that’s not all, you will get special rewards now and again to helps you get more points. Just our way to thank our regular customers for shopping with us!

We are getting more survey responses and still going over those so momma will be working again this weekend but she promises me lots of play time though. Plus, we have new products on the way so we will have to put some work into letting everyone know about those. I will be hanging out with momma and daddy lots though!

Any spot close to momma will do but I has many beds around too!

Momma says my laser eyes are showing off the green in my eyes which she just loves. I has gold green eyes so sometimes they looks gold with green but sometimes they looks pure green. MOL
